Directions to Launches

East Chicago Marina (Pastrick Marina): (DO NOT TAKE THE CHICAGO SKYWAY, the road is closed to Cline Ave.) Best directions take 80/94 either east or west depending where you are coming from.  To Cline Ave. North then exit on the Jerose Park/Pastrick Marina exit.  The ramp will bring you down to a traffic light, take a left at the light.  At the stop sign a 1/2 block up take a right.  Tell the guard you are fishing with me and listen to where he tells you to park.  The boat launch is 50 yards in front of the guard shack.

Hammond Marina : From 80/94 get off at the Indianapolis Blvd exit, continue apprx. 8 miles till you see the 500 ft flashing Horseshoe Casino sign, there is a traffic light right before the sign, take a left at the light. It will loop you around on a ramp as soon as you come down the ramp take a hard right ((big flashing LED sign right before turn).  Tell the guard you are fishing with me and listen to where he tells you to park.  Boat launch is down the main road, not on the pier.  Walk heading to Horseshoe Casino, boat launch on left

Portage Public Marina:  Take 80/94 to the Portage/Port of Indiana exit (same exit as Bass Pro Shops).  This exit will bring you to a traffic light, take a left at the light.  You will pass up a large Family Express gas station on your right, continue for about 1/4 mile and you will cross a small concrete bridge (this crosses Burns Ditch only about 50 ft long) as soon as you cross the small bridge you will see a left turn lane.  Take a left, there is also a Public Portage Marina sign but due to no light it can be hard to see early in the morning.  Once you took the left continue to your right following the "launch signs"  this will lead you to the boat launch.

Burnham Harbor (Chicago):  From Indiana:  94 West torwards Chicago for about 25-30 mins from the stateline.  Stay on 94 West till you get to the Lake Shore Drive exit,  Exit North on Lake Shore Drive, once on Lake Shore Drive north, get in the far right hand lane.  You will only be on this road for 1-2 mins.  When you pass the McCormick Center look to your right and there will be a right turn off.  Take the right turn off it will bring you to a traffic light, at the light take a right.  You will go thru a few stop signs and will come to a stop sign and road called Waldren Drive.  Take a right you will see the boat launch as soon as you turn.  There is a pay to park lot on the right that is where we park.

Calumet Park (Chicago)

Boat Launch is just up the road, about 1 block from Coast Guard Station on right side.  Follow address below.
